The Temple Complex
It would be unfair not to add a few temple photos to the mix... After all, temples are what most people come to Siem Reap to see.
The ancient temples of Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm, will certainly take your breath away. Sculpted from top to bottom, they truly are monumental masterpieces of a civilization gone missing. And there are many, many more such masterpieces. It’s quite a challenge, at times, to find one not shrouded in scaffolding, draped with tarpaulins, or propped up with wooden struts. And it’s not much fun waiting and watching as wave upon wave of tourists walk right into your picture. But patience and perseverance do pay off at times; and, if you poke around a bit you’ll even discover things that don’t meet the common eye. But temples are not everything.
Cambodia is so much more than tourists, tumbled-down stones, and temple tour guides--something you'll hardly realize if all you've come to Cambodia for is a Temple Tour. Remember, Cambodia today is a country in motion; the temples--or what remains of them--are all just standing still!
So, if temples are not your thing (they're definitely not ours!) or you've done them, are fed up with selfie sticks, 'templed-out', and looking for something else to do, check out a few of the Eco Tours Bees Unlimited--Your Temple Tour Alternative offers. We'd love to show you a vibrant and colourful Cambodia that's alive and away from all the tourists, where photo opportunities galore await the discerning eye.
