Crocodile Farming
Back to Countryside Photos
Crocodile farming is not as popular or profitable an occupation now as it was in the ‘90s, but it’s not uncommon around Siem Reap--where the reptiles are kept in walled enclosures, out of sight of both public and “poachers”. Crocodile skin, meat, hatchings, eggs, fat/oil, teeth, and gall bladders are all sold--for money, food, or traditional medicine.
